CNN hosts and panelists provide their take on the Kanye West-Trump saga.

Now White House press secretary Sarah Sanders has confirmed the get-together, and shared details about the meeting agenda.

Ahead of a private lunch, the US President and West spoke with reporters as they sat across from each other at the Resolute desk.

"It was from the soul".

West, who received harsh criticism for suggesting slavery was a "choice", told Trump that "we have to release the love (throughout) the country. we don't have the reparations but we have the 13th Amendment".

President Donald Trump says he's "open-minded" about stop-and-frisk policing.

"I like him a lot, he's been a friend of mine, I've known him for a long time", Trump told "Fox & Friends" during a phone interview Thursday.

"It hurts us as people, specifically black people, the idea, because we say, was America ever great for us?"

Kanye West has reiterated his support for Donald Trump during a freaky meeting between the two men at the White House, with the rapper declaring his love for the President and telling him his Make America Great Again hat makes him "feel like Superman".

West seemed erratic in his behaviour as he went on to describe his love for Trump, gift him with a custom designed "Make America Great" hat and spewed plans for his fictional hydrogen-powered aeroplane which would be built by Apple.

The world is still talking about Kanye West's freakish lunch with President Donald Trump ― including White House staffers. He also described West as a "smart cookie". But he said "this hat, it gives me power".

On Blck democrats, he said: "People expect that if you're black, you have to be Democrat", he said. "And then after that. we're still family, we're still around each other".

"Illegal guns is the problem, not legal guns", West said.

As he has often done in recent days, the 41-year-old rapper sported a red "Make America Great Again" hat from Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, which he referred to as his "Superman cape" on Saturday Night Live during last week's visit to the variety show. His wife, reality TV star Kim Kardashian West, has worked with the White House on criminal justice reform and clemency issues.
