Jade claims she was hit with an ashtray by an associate of Cardi B two weeks prior to the club incident.

"We are aware of no evidence that she caused anybody any harm from that night", her lawyer, Jeff Kern, told reporters.

Rapper Cardi B has been charged with assault and reckless endangerment by the NYPD after she turned herself in to police custody. Video shows the rapper smiling while walking out of the building.

As she left the precinct earlier today, the "I Like It" singer was pictured smiling. "But it doesn't matter if her name is Cardi B or Carl B. if she commits violent assaults she will be brought to justice".

An arraignment court date has been set for October 29.

Celebrity gossip website TMZ said she allegedly ordered an attack on two bartenders at the club, sisters who accuse her of harbouring a grudge because one of them slept with her husband, the rapper Offset.

Sources would not confirm why she will turn herself in to police, but TMZ reports Almánzar allegedly ordered an attack on two bartenders at the Angels Strip Club in Flushing on August 29.

They were attending the Harper's Bazaar Icons party at the Plaza Hotel during New York Fashion Week when Cardi B appeared to go after the "Chun-Li" rapper and at one point hurled a shoe.

It is not yet clear what role, if any, Cardi B played in the brawl.

She performed in NY on Saturday at the Global Citizen Festival, an unofficial closing event following the weeklong United Nations General Assembly, in what was her first concert since giving birth. Her collaboration with Maroon 5, "Girls Like You", is now ranked No. 1 on Billboard's Top 100 chart.

Almánzar will likely face reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct charges, TMZ reports.
