Bachelor Nation Protests New Leading Man

Diane Mills | 04 September, 2018, 23:08

Colton Underwood, who previously appeared on Becca Kufrin's cycle of "The Bachelorette" and most recently on "Bachelor in Paradise", is the next lucky man looking for love on the long-running reality series.

The pair reconnected on the newest season of Bachelor in Paradise but broke up on Monday evening's episode. I'm very excited. Third time's the charm, that's what they say, right?

Former NFL player Colton Underwood will be handing out roses as the lead on the next season of "The Bachelor", it was announced Tuesday.

During the first post-Labor Day episode of "Good Morning America", Underwood appeared with show host and fellow former National Football League player Michael Strahan to make the "Bachelor" announcement. "That's the worst part of it all", he told her. Tia was blindsided by the breakup, but it was all for the best. "It took all of that to get to where I'm at now and know who I am as a person and know what I want in a life partner".

He then went on "Bachelor in Paradise" where he rekindled his romance with ex-girlfriend and former Bachelor contestant, Tia Booth.

When asked if he was hoping his season ends with a proposal, Colton said: "Absolutely".

As for the new season, Underwood is just looking forward to what the future has in store for him. Tia didn't waste any time congratulating Colton!

When he came clean to Tia about his feelings, they had a very emotional break up, with both deciding to leave Paradise in the aftermath.

Following the episode, Colton posted the sweetest message on Instagram about Tia.

Underwood first appeared on Season 14 of The Bachelorette, where he competed for Becca Kufrin's heart (and notably revealed to her that he is still a virgin).
