Apple is expected to launch three iPhone models - a standard but improved 5.8-inch iPhone, a cheaper 6.1-inch LCD iPhone and a high-end iPhone with similar dimensions to the iPhone 8 Plus. You will also notice that the iPhone XS will be available in a new gold colour, presumably in addition to the black and white versions that were available with the original iPhone X. The new OLED displays will occupy much more of the watch's face though, and the case looks much thinner than it is on the current models.
The photo also shows what appears to be a new microphone hole between the crown and the side button. Although Apple continues to lead the smartwatch industry, a massive 9 out of 10 Apple Watches sold are the older Apple Watch Series 1.
While not a major overhaul, prior Apple Watch versions mostly featured internal updates such as faster processors, waterproofing and the ability to get 4G LTE cellular connectivity.
