Man 'admits killing pregnant wife and daughters' hours after appeal over disappearance

Christopher Watts was taken into custody late on Wednesday for the suspected murder of his wife and two daughters. The attorney left the court without commenting.
Investigators have not said what led to the killings.
After they disappeared, Chris Watts told police he was under the impression his wife and children had gone to visit friends.
Chris Watts has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of tampering with evidence.
He did not respond to reporters' questions when he was escorted into the courtroom Thursday. He looked down for much of the hearing but made eye contact as the judge reviewed his rights.
