Yekaterinburg - Sweden coach Janne Andersson ramped up his verbal attack on Germany on Tuesday, calling the behaviour of some of their staff in celebrating their last-gasp victor "scornful".

The coach was riled by what he felt were excessive celebrations by the German bench after Toni Kroos hit a spectacular 95th-minute victor on Saturday to rescue the team's hopes in Russian Federation. We were clear after the match that this (the abuse of Durmaz) was unacceptable.

"If I hadn't responded I would've been emotionally dead", said Andersson in a news conference on Tuesday. They played two games and have two wins and well done.

- Mexico could potentially be eliminated if they were to lose to Sweden and Germany were to beat South Korea, based on either goal difference, goals scored or fair play points. "It had nothing to do with football".

Defender Andreas Granqvist criticised the Germans' conduct but said they apologised afterwards.

Sweden take on a Mexico side that has defeated Germany and South Korea and sits on six points from two games, but the Scandinavian side are confident of a victory to keep them in the competition.

However, Toni Kroos sensationally fired home from a set-piece in the 95th minute to give Germany, who were down to 10 men after Jerome Boateng's red card, a huge win.

Durmaz, who was born in Sweden to Assyrian parents who had emigrated from Turkey, made a statement condemning the racism acts against him on Sunday and the entire squad shouted "F-- racism!" at the end.

That view was echoed by Andersson, who insisted the agonising Germany defeat was behind them. He has had time to reflect on being dropped and the wake-up call should provide sufficient motivation to come back stronger and show his undoubted ability, beginning against Korea in Kazan. "We believe in what we do".
