Facebook has always remained in question to providing donations or some sort of financial assistance to some of the advisors who have been supportive towards its Messenger Kids app. The app already has some built-in tools for parents, including giving them the ability to control their child's contact list.

During those "off times", the kids will not be able to send or receive messages in the chat app, play with the camera, engage in video calls or receive any sort of notifications of the app.

Announced on Friday, Facebook is adding a sleep mode to Messenger Kids. For example, a good use of this feature would be during the study hours or dinner time, etc.

"Sleep mode" feature live within a parent's main Facebook app but for now though only one parent will have the access to control this feature inside Facebook.

YouTube Kids, which has been criticised for inadvertently recommending disturbing videos to children, has said that it would introduce several ways for parents to limit what can be watched on the popular app.

According to this new Sleep Mode features, parents can now set the times when their Children are not allowed to use this service. Under the "app controls" header, the Sleep Mode menu will appear. Parental controls are core to the Messenger Kids experience, and today we're launching a sleep mode for the app- a new feature that allows parents to set predetermined "off times" for the app on a child's device. When they attempt to access the app, they'll come across a message asking them to come back later, and letting them know it's in sleep mode presently. You can set different times for weekdays versus weekends. The social networking giant has no intention of pulling the plug on what is a window into the Facebook world for those yet to reach the ripe old age of 13.

What do you think of the idea of Messenger Kids in general? Parents can also delete the account or create a new account for the Kids within the same environment.
