Toronto Police is all set to offer an update into the investigation of alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur.

The 66-year-old landscaper has already been charged with the first-degree murder of six men who have connections to the city's LGBTQ community.

Investigators previously confirmed that the remains of at least seven people were found in planters on a property where the 66-year-old kept equipment for his landscaping business.

The early afternoon news conference is to provide "substantial" new information about the investigation into the Toronto landscaper. In February, he was also charged in the death of Skandaraj Navaratnam. At Wednesday, authorities were hoping to identify a few of this human remains located in plantations in a Toronto property McArthur employed as storage because of his landscaping firm, as stated by the Associated Press.

Last month Homicide detectives released a photo of an eighth potential victim in an effort to identify the unknown man.

Idsinga said police are now re-examining 15 cold cases dating back as far as 1975 in their investigation.

Toronto police uncovered seven types of stays therein total, but far have only identified people belonging to Andrew Kinsman, Soroush Mahmudi and Skandaraj Navaratnam, " the Toronto Star reported.

Police believe Faizi knew McArthur prior to his death.

Police also have evidence that leads them to believe that Lisowick was killed in April of 2016, he said.

Mr. Faizi's auto was found early in 2011 on Moore Ave, not far from the property where Mr. McArthur stored his landscaping tools, and where a number of the bodies have been located. The photo was released with the hope that a member of the public may be able to identify him. The remains of all but Kayhan have been identified among those recovered from the planters at the Leaside home.

Forensics officers have continued to work at McArthur's apartment since his January arrest.

"We've quite frankly never seen anything like it", Idsinga said.

Idsinga said Faisi, who was 42 when he disappeared on December 29, 2010, was one of the three men whose disappearances were linked through Project Houston, a task force launched by Toronto police in 2012, to look into the disappearances of the three men from Toronto's Gay Village. They went missing between 2010 and 2017. McArthur popped up on the police radar in the fall of 2017 as part of Project Prism.
