New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, his assistant and an unidentified Instagram user have been credited with stopping a possible school shooting in MI.

"With the emotions of what happened, and I have a kid now, I said, holy Toledo, what is going on?" he told the Times.

"I'm going to shoot my school up watch the news", the message said.

Edelman alerted his assistant here in Boston and she then found the post and called police.

Edelman notified his assistant, Shannen Moen, who called police and they tracked down a 14-year-old boy in MI who admitted to posting the threat about his middle school. The words stirred the feelings he had after the February school shooting in Parkland, Florida. Authorities then traced the message to a Michigan IP address, which led them to a home in Port Huron. Authorities also found two rifles that belonged to his mother, a police chief told the Times.

Police were alerted, and they were eventually able to track down the poster who made the threat and take him into custody.

Boston police added the threat came from Port Huron, Michigan. Per the New York Times, detectives tracked the commenter to a house in MI and worked with their police officers, who found a 14-year-old boy living at the address who admitted to making the comment. The teenager was taken to a juvenile detention center and charged with making a false report of a threat of terrorism, which could keep him detained for four years. We look into them very thoroughly.

Edelman plans to send something to the Instagram follower who alerted him about the threat, telling the Times, "He's the real hero".
