Huawei P20 users can choose to hide the phone's notch

The Huawei P20 sports an extended, bezel-less RGBW display and a Leica dual-lens camera system.

The Porsche Design Mate RS gets the same Leica-branded triple-lens camera as found on the P20 Pro, meaning a 40-megapixel RGB sensor, 20-megapixel monochrome sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens. It allows for 3x optical zoom or a 5x hybrid zoom - giving you the ability to take clear photos no matter the distance.

The Huawei P20 starts at 649 Euros.

The USP of the smartphone, however, is the triple rear camera setup. Frankly we are stunned at this news. So you'll be okay taking the P20 out in a rain shower, but it won't survive being dropped in the sink or toilet.

Huawei has also worked on the speed of the autofocus. It comes with IP53 rating. You'll still have to choose between the high resolution of 4K (at 30fps) or the high frame rate of 60fps (at 1080p). This camera setup features AI Image Stabilization and can also record slow-motion videos at a whopping 960 frames/second. This phone is powered by Huawei Kirin 970 Octa-core CPU (4 Cortex A73 2.36 GHz + 4 Cortex A53 1.8 GHz) + NPU and mated with Mali-G72 MP12. Fortunately for Mate 10 owners, you won't be missing out, with Hauwei delivering AI updates to its older devices, much like LG recently did with the LG V30 in the wake of the V30S ThinQ.

For cameras, this is where things get interesting.

It's tricky to take great photos at night. Huawei also placed the fingerprint to the front the phone below the display, and it features the same processor as the standard P20. Unfortunately, the AI photography feature doesn't work when shooting with monochrome. On the front is a 24MP sensor that comes with selfie lighting enhancements, giving you nice shots even if the lighting is not ideal. That's about all there is to say about that. Both the P20 and P20 Pro have their fingerprint sensors placed on the front of the device. The devices will be available in Graphite Black, Midnight Blue, Pink Gold, and Twilight color options. The Twilight shade is an iridescent color blended with a mix of purple and turquoise. Do you think the real world performance would compliment the score?

The main disadvantage is that it looks like an iPhone X clone, and people may just dismiss it instantly because of that. Unfortunately, this does not mean that it includes wireless charging.

And Huawei didn't just stop at that. The P20 Lite runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

I, obviously, didn't have any issues during the initial play with the P20 Pro.

And I loved the P10. Keen on nabbing one of these phones as soon as they're released?

"They need to build an open strategy for developers to encourage and stimulate use of AI on smartphones", the analyst said. While the HTC U11 showed an iridescent design past year that was somewhat similar, Huawei brought it to the next level by using "non-conductive vacuum metalizing" in order to give us a unique gradient finish on the Huawei P20 Pro, unlike anything we've seen before.
