Whyte had weighed in at 18st 2lbs 2oz, nearly eight pounds heavier than when he outpointed British heavyweight Dereck Chisora in a notable 2016 victory, but still lighter than the 18st 11lbs 22oz Browne.

Whyte connected with a pulverizing left hook on a badly wounded Browne, who had been dominated up to that point.

As Jim Lampley stated at the beginning of Round 5, Lucas Browne seemingly could not see the left hand coming, as Whyte continued to play target practice on Browne's face.

The 28-year-old from Watford is poised to pick up a £20million share of the purse from his fight with Parker, who is unbeaten after 24 professional bouts.

Thus we are little closer to knowing if Whyte is capable of upsetting either Joshua or Wilder.

The WBC Silver Heavyweight title was claimed by Whyte after his impressive, career-best, performance.

Dillian Whyte's destructive win over Lucas Browne could earn a shot at WBC champion Deontay Wilder, but which other opponents might be part of his plans?

Whyte wants Wilder next - preferably in June - but will have to wait until next weekend before getting more clarity as to his plans.

"I proved to everyone that I'm world class".

It is understandable for boxing fans to be frustrated given that it was a really good left hook from Whyte.

If Whyte is made to wait a little longer for a world title fight, then he might turn his attention to the victor of Tony Bellew's rematch with David Haye on May 5, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Right when Kellerman began questioning if allowing the fight to continue was a good idea, things took a brutal turn in Round 6.

Parker touched down in London earlier this week with less than two weeks to go until fight night. I'm No. 1 baby, let's go.

Whyte also mentioned his interest in landing a rematch against Anthony Joshua, something his Matchroom Boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn, is in agreement with.

This was Browne's first significant fight since Chagaev while Whyte had built up some momentum with six successive wins since being stopped in the seventh round by Joshua in December 2015.
