Seconds. That's all it takes for the latest creation from Croatian hypercar manufacturer Rimac to blast to 100km/h.

Rimac C_Two packs some power too. The drivetrain features all-wheel torque-vectoring (R-AWTV) that can shift torque to the front or rear wheels and even support drifting. The front wheels are fed via two single-speed transmissions, while the rear has dual, two-speed gearboxes. Yes, those figures seem carefully calculated to outdo Tesla's upcoming next-generation Roadster, which is supposed to hit 60 miles per hour in 1.9 seconds and top out at 250 miles per hour. As a true Grand Tourer the C_Two provides a generous 650 km NEDC range. The wheels are aerodynamically designed for low drag and efficient motor cooling.

The vehicle is rated at 1,914 horsepower.

The Rimac C_Two makes 1887bhp and 2300Nm of torque (Yes, you've read it right!). Such claims put it on a collision course with the new Tesla Roadster, said to charge from 0-60 in 1.9 seconds.

The vehicle gets active front hood which effectively channels air from underneath the auto up from the bonnet and on towards the roof for that additional downforce. Furthermore, Rimac also claim the auto has "level 4 autonomous technologies", which in layman's terms means it can drive itself. The GPS coordinates assists during cornering and braking as per the track layout.

The electric supercar can also perform well on the track with a set of assists.

Production of the Rimac C_Two is limited to around 100 units, each costing over $1.25 million. With an adaptive suspension, Pirelli performance tires and six-piston Brembo calipers in all corners clamping down on carbon ceramic discs, the vehicle is capable of covering two laps of the Nurburgring at full bore with a minimal drop in performance, Rimac says. To aid in that, it has eight cameras, a lidar, six radars, and twelve ultrasonic sensors.
