You can access the battery health information under Settings in the "Battery" section.

When users disable power management on their iPhone, it will turn off any throttling to the device's performance.

Earlier today, Apple issued a response to inquisitions from Senator John Thune regarding its iPhone battery debacle.

The Cupertino-based company has been in all kinds of bother lately, after it was revealed that it knowingly compromised older iPhones by adding performance throttling features to iOS updates. If the battery health is able to support the observed peak power requirements, the amount of performance management will be lowered. As users continue to use their phone and batteries age, this number drops.

The letter also confirms that Apple was considering a rebate for customers who paid full price for a battery replacement in a throttled phone, although it hasn't said it will absolutely definitely happen. If the battery is working fine, this section will simply say that it's now supporting normal peak performance.

The feature addresses transparency issues regarding performance throttling by Apple on older iPhones.

"iOS dynamically manages the maximum performance of some system components when needed to prevent a shutdown". If so, Thune also wanted to know "what notice" Apple plans to provide to customers beforehand.

For instance, a rating of 100% means that the iPhone's battery is in flawless health, but 79% means that it's not functioning like it used to. Apple claims its motive was to boost the battery life and prevent unexpected shutdowns. Wright Investors Service Inc.'s holdings in Apple were worth $9,379,000 at the end of the most recent quarter.

The performance management feature is required when your iPhone experiences shutdowns. It is to be noted that you can't enable this if once disabled.

Battery health degraded: "Your battery's health is significantly degraded".

Senator John Thune, a USA republican law maker that leads the Commerce Committee, requested an inquiry into what's set to happen to customers who purchased replacement batteries at an earlier date for their full price tag.

Apple's software chief Craig Frderighi recently said that the next iteration of the iOS software a.k.a. iOS 12 might include less new features to improve the system stability and the overall experience. To be clear, though, the devices might still employ power management practices. Apple says because of this, CPU throttling these newer devices "may be less noticeable".
