Georgia linebacker Natrez Patrick was arrested late Saturday ninght, hours after the Bulldogs beat Auburn 28-7 in the SEC championship game. Patrick, a passenger with Stanley driving, has only been charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession, but he could be in for something of a real punishment.

According to a Barrow County arrest record attained by DawgNation, the two Georgia players were arrested by police at 11:50 p.m. Saturday.

Patrick started and helped Georgia win Saturday's SEC championship game against Auburn in Atlanta. Bond was set at $1,030, though the offense is unspecified.

Georgia Athletic Association policies mandate that student-athletes be dismissed from the team following a third drug-related incident.

Stanley has been a special teams standout on the kickoff and punt return teams as a gunner.

This does not bode well for his future as this is Patrick's second time being arrested and the third arrest of his college career., with both of those arrests being for marijuana possession in 2015.

Athens is in Clarke County, and Barrow County is adjacent to Clarke County, to the west.

Patrick, a junior from Atlanta, is the Bulldogs' fifth-leading tackler with 35 stops this season. "It's one you have to move on from, one you have to grow from".
